Home air conditioninginstalled across Poole

Comfortable bedrooms, cool living spaces and efficient heating for Poole homes, from Sandbanks and Canford Cliffs to Parkstone, Broadstone and Creekmoor.

Serving Poole

Home air conditioning across Poole.

We offer domestic air conditioning across Poole, from harbourside flats and townhouses to detached homes in Lilliput and Canford Cliffs. Suitability and equipment positions are assessed at a site survey.

Poole Harbour and the Sandbanks peninsula bring sea views and a mild climate, but also large glazed elevations, balconies and open-plan living spaces that can overheat in summer sun. Homes on higher ground in Parkstone and Broadstone get plenty of exposure too.

We cover Poole town centre, Hamworthy, Oakdale, Parkstone, Lower Parkstone, Penn Hill, Lilliput, Sandbanks, Canford Cliffs, Branksome, Broadstone, Creekmoor, Canford Heath and Merley, along with neighbouring Bournemouth and Wimborne.

Homes in Poole

Poole's housing ranges from Victorian and Edwardian homes in Parkstone and Branksome, to post-war estates in Oakdale and Canford Heath, to contemporary architect-designed houses and apartment blocks around Sandbanks, Lilliput and the Quay. Many modern homes have large areas of glass and open-plan rooms, which need careful sizing and positioning of indoor units.

Why choose us in Poole

A Dorset-based team focused on homes.

We're a new Dorset-based business operating as a two-person team. We offer domestic air conditioning installation, servicing and maintenance in Poole, with free surveys and quotes for new installations. New equipment comes with the manufacturer's warranty, and ongoing aftercare is available.

Homes across Dorset include period terraces, cottages, bungalows, flats and new builds. A survey helps assess your property's layout and how you use each room before recommending a system.

Local considerations

What we plan for in Poole homes.

Large glazed rooms

Contemporary homes with floor-to-ceiling glass and bi-fold doors gain a lot of heat, so units need sizing for solar gain, not just floor area.

Apartments and balconies

Harbourside and seafront apartments often need management permission for outdoor units, and balcony positions need checking for airflow.

Coastal exposure

Homes facing the harbour or open sea are exposed to salt air, so we plan outdoor positions and recommend regular servicing.

Mixed building ages

From solid-walled Victorian homes to timber-frame new builds, each wall type needs a different fixing and drilling approach.

Climate & timing

Summer heat in Poole, and when to book.

Poole Harbour is one of the largest natural harbours in the world, and homes around it see a lot of reflected light and sun. Waterfront apartments, Sandbanks houses with glass balconies and hillside homes in Lilliput and Canford Cliffs all take strong afternoon sun. Further inland, Broadstone, Creekmoor and Canford Heath lose the sea breeze and can feel warmer on summer evenings.

The right system depends on how the space is used. An open-plan kitchen and family room may need a larger unit or two smaller ones to spread air evenly, while bedrooms usually need a quiet, compact unit. In apartment blocks we'll explain what the management company is likely to need, and we can position outdoor units on balconies or roofs where permitted. Contact us early to discuss installation availability before the summer period.

From a single bedroom in Oakdale to a whole-house multi-split in Canford Cliffs, every Poole installation starts with the same free survey and written quote.

Working with us

What to expect when you book a visit.

South Coast Air Con Ltd operates as a two-person team specialising in domestic air conditioning. We offer free surveys and quotes for new installations, followed by installation and handover. Servicing and maintenance are available afterwards.

We arrange a time that suits you, seven days a week between 8am and 5pm, including weekends. That makes it easier to book a visit without taking time off work. Before we start, we'll walk you through what we're going to do, where we'll be working and how long it should take.

Our aim is careful workmanship suited to your home. During the survey, we discuss where equipment and pipework can go. Installation includes testing the system and explaining how to use it at handover.

Clear prices, simple payment

For new installations the site survey and quote are free, with no obligation to go ahead. We provide a written quote so you can review the proposed work and price. You can pay by bank transfer or by card through payment links from Tide or our accounting software.

Homes only, by choice

We only work in people's homes. That focus shapes everything: quiet unit choices for bedrooms, tidy pipe routes that respect how your house looks, outdoor positions that take your neighbours into account, and advice based on how families actually use their rooms.

Aftercare that continues

Air conditioning works best when it's looked after. Once your job is complete, servicing and maintenance are available. New equipment comes with the manufacturer's warranty, and we'll explain the terms for the equipment you choose.
