Air conditioning installationfor homes in Weymouth

Comfortable rooms in summer and efficient heating in winter for Weymouth homes, from the Georgian seafront to Preston, Upwey, Littlemoor and Portland.

Serving Weymouth

Home air conditioning across Weymouth.

Weymouth is part of our Dorset service area, and we plan our diary so surveys and installations here run smoothly. Because we work seven days a week, 8am to 5pm, it's easy to find a time that suits you.

Weymouth's sheltered bay is one of the sunniest spots on the south coast. Seafront and harbourside homes with big south- and east-facing windows, and upper-floor flats in converted townhouses, can become very warm through the summer months.

We cover Weymouth town, the seafront, Rodwell, Wyke Regis, Westham, Radipole, Preston, Overcombe, Littlemoor, Broadwey, Upwey, Chickerell and Portland, plus nearby Dorchester.

Homes in Weymouth

Weymouth's Esplanade is lined with Georgian and Regency terraces, many now converted into flats. Behind it are Victorian and Edwardian streets, while Preston, Littlemoor and Chickerell have post-war and modern estates. Converted flats and listed seafront buildings need careful planning; newer homes often allow straightforward installs.

Air conditioning options for Weymouth homes

  • Cooling seafront flats

Why choose us in Weymouth

A Dorset-based team focused on homes.

We're a new Dorset-based business operating as a two-person team. We offer domestic air conditioning installation, servicing and maintenance in Weymouth, with free surveys and quotes for new installations. New equipment comes with the manufacturer's warranty, and ongoing aftercare is available.

Homes across Dorset include period terraces, cottages, bungalows, flats and new builds. A survey helps assess your property's layout and how you use each room before recommending a system.

Local considerations

What we plan for in Weymouth homes.

Converted Georgian terraces

Many seafront buildings are listed and split into flats, so outdoor units may need consent and freeholder agreement.

Strong summer sun

Weymouth's sunny, sheltered bay means rooms facing the sea can gain a lot of heat on summer afternoons.

Exposure on Portland

Homes on Portland are more exposed to wind and salt, so we choose sheltered outdoor positions and secure fixings.

Older, solid-walled homes

Victorian and Edwardian houses often have solid walls that need careful drilling and making good.

Climate & timing

Summer heat in Weymouth, and when to book.

Weymouth's sheltered, south-east-facing bay is often among the sunniest spots in the country, and seafront homes can feel the full force of it. Upper-floor flats in converted terraces, with tall sash windows and limited ventilation, are among the warmest places to live in town during a heatwave. Inland areas like Littlemoor and Broadwey are less exposed but can still get warm in the late afternoon.

For flats, the first step is usually checking with the freeholder or management company about an outdoor unit. For houses, we'll look at the best position for both the indoor and outdoor units and keep pipework as short as possible. On Portland, where homes are more exposed, we pay extra attention to fixings and shelter. Booking a survey in spring means installation can be done before the summer season brings crowds to the Esplanade and the harbour.

From a Georgian flat on the Esplanade to a family home in Preston or a stone cottage on Portland, we'll visit, measure up and explain the options. You'll get a clear written quote, with no obligation and no pressure to decide on the day.

Working with us

What to expect when you book a visit.

South Coast Air Con Ltd operates as a two-person team specialising in domestic air conditioning. We offer free surveys and quotes for new installations, followed by installation and handover. Servicing and maintenance are available afterwards.

We arrange a time that suits you, seven days a week between 8am and 5pm, including weekends. That makes it easier to book a visit without taking time off work. Before we start, we'll walk you through what we're going to do, where we'll be working and how long it should take.

Our aim is careful workmanship suited to your home. During the survey, we discuss where equipment and pipework can go. Installation includes testing the system and explaining how to use it at handover.

Clear prices, simple payment

For new installations the site survey and quote are free, with no obligation to go ahead. We provide a written quote so you can review the proposed work and price. You can pay by bank transfer or by card through payment links from Tide or our accounting software.

Homes only, by choice

We only work in people's homes. That focus shapes everything: quiet unit choices for bedrooms, tidy pipe routes that respect how your house looks, outdoor positions that take your neighbours into account, and advice based on how families actually use their rooms.

Aftercare that continues

Air conditioning works best when it's looked after. Once your job is complete, servicing and maintenance are available. New equipment comes with the manufacturer's warranty, and we'll explain the terms for the equipment you choose.
