Cooling and efficient heating for homes in Ringwood, Poulner, St Leonards and St Ives, on the western edge of the New Forest.

Serving Ringwood

Home air conditioning across Ringwood.

Ringwood is just over the Dorset border into Hampshire, and we cover it as part of our regular area. It's a straightforward drive from Bournemouth and Ferndown along the A31 and A338.

The market town sits on the River Avon at the edge of the New Forest. Inland and sheltered, it can feel hot and still on summer days, and many homes have conservatories, garden rooms and home offices that catch the sun.

We cover Ringwood town, Poulner, Hightown, Bisterne, St Leonards, St Ives, Ashley Heath and nearby villages, as well as Ferndown, Christchurch and New Milton.

Homes across Hampshire include period terraces, cottages, bungalows, flats and new builds. A survey helps assess your property's layout and how you use each room before recommending a system.

Local considerations

What we plan for in Ringwood homes.

New Forest edge

Homes near the Forest may sit within the National Park or conservation areas, where external equipment can need consent.

Tree cover

Wooded plots in St Leonards and St Ives drop leaves and debris onto outdoor units, so regular cleaning and good positioning help.

Inland heat

Away from the coast, summer days can feel hotter and nights warmer.

Historic centre

Older homes in the town centre need careful, discreet pipe routes.

Climate & timing

Summer heat in Ringwood, and when to book.

Ringwood sits in the Avon valley on the edge of the New Forest, and summer days can feel hot and still without coastal breezes. Homes on wooded plots in St Leonards and St Ives stay shaded in places but can trap warm air, while open-plan modern homes in Poulner and Hightown can gain heat quickly through big windows.

Outdoor units on wooded plots need to be positioned where falling leaves and pine needles won't block airflow, and regular servicing keeps coils clear. For homes within or near the National Park, check planning requirements before installation; we'll provide details of unit size and position to help. Many Ringwood homeowners use their system for efficient heating in winter as well, particularly in rooms that the main heating doesn't reach well. Contact us in spring to discuss availability for installation before summer.

Whether your home is near the Market Place, in Poulner, or on a wooded plot in St Leonards or Ashley Heath, we'll visit at a time that suits you, seven days a week. You'll get honest advice on unit size and position, a clear written quote and no pressure to go ahead. We'd rather you made the right choice for your home than a rushed one.

Working with us

What to expect when you book a visit.

South Coast Air Con Ltd operates as a two-person team specialising in domestic air conditioning. We offer free surveys and quotes for new installations, followed by installation and handover. Servicing and maintenance are available afterwards.

We arrange a time that suits you, seven days a week between 8am and 5pm, including weekends. That makes it easier to book a visit without taking time off work. Before we start, we'll walk you through what we're going to do, where we'll be working and how long it should take.

Our aim is careful workmanship suited to your home. During the survey, we discuss where equipment and pipework can go. Installation includes testing the system and explaining how to use it at handover.

Clear prices, simple payment

For new installations the site survey and quote are free, with no obligation to go ahead. We provide a written quote so you can review the proposed work and price. You can pay by bank transfer or by card through payment links from Tide or our accounting software.

Homes only, by choice

We only work in people's homes. That focus shapes everything: quiet unit choices for bedrooms, tidy pipe routes that respect how your house looks, outdoor positions that take your neighbours into account, and advice based on how families actually use their rooms.

Aftercare that continues

Air conditioning works best when it's looked after. Once your job is complete, servicing and maintenance are available. New equipment comes with the manufacturer's warranty, and we'll explain the terms for the equipment you choose.
